Create the FROG on your own using the same techniques.
Customize your Fish & Frog so they don't all look the same!

9 Lives Cat (cutting & joining)
Instructions9lives.pdf

—Reproduce the Nine Lives cat in the manner prescribed, or use the Pen Tool if you are so inclined. In any event take the time to learn how line ends (segmented paths) are joined. Use Pathfinder to wrap the 9 around the cat's body. This assignment is a good introduction to 'smart guides.'

Draw 2 cats: one face on and another in profile. It's okay to use the same body. Your cat can have some variation, but try and maintain the smooth contoured line of a cat's body—"catness" if you will.

Follow the instructions and be inspired by the example. This is really an exercise of light and how it falls onto an object. Take the time to create your own bottles with a special regard for how light hits the surface of the glass, and how it passes through. Spend some time setting up a few real bottles on a table with a lamp you can move around.

The very beginning of being a good musician is about being able to hear the sounds; the very beginning of being a good artist is about being able to see the light.
